The Winter Season at York Minster

The Church Year begins in Advent, 4 Sundays before Christmas day, the colour used in Churches during this time is purple.

The Christian season of Christmas begins on Christmas Eve and continues through to the Feast of the Epiphany on the 6th January, the colours during this time are white and gold.
